The Ministry of Education & Sports received a communication from the Embassy of the Republic of Mauritius in Addis Ababa informing it of the above scholarship scheme for the 2025 academic year, which includes a call for applications from interested scholars.

Eligibility:
Applicants for Undergraduate should meet the following requirements:

1. Must have a minimum of 2 Principal passes at “C” level in the essential subjects at UACE.
2. They should be above 18 years old and should not have reached their 26th birthday by 01 January 2026.
3. Must have an admission for a full-time on-campus program at a Public University in Mauritius or a receipt of payment of the application fee from their choice of University in Mauritius.

Postgraduate/Masters and PhD

1. Graduated with a bachelor’s degree of at least Second Class Honors (Upper Division) for a Masters
2. Have a Master’s degree for a PhD
3. Applicants for Masters and PhD should not have reached 40 years by 01 January 2026.
4. Must have admission to a full-time on-campus program at a public university in Mauritius or provide proof of payment for the application fee from their chosen university in Mauritius

Applications and all supporting documents should be submitted to the Consulate of the Republic of Mauritius Suite 15, Cargen House, Plot 13A – Kampala before 4th April 2025.
