The EAC Youth Fellowship is an esteemed program aimed at involving and empowering young individuals in the East African Community (EAC) through leadership and regional integration.
The fellowship is designed to tap into the potential of youth and encourage their active participation in shaping the region’s future. It provides mentorship, capacity-building activities, and networking opportunities, fostering the development of future leaders dedicated to regional cooperation and growth.
This fellowship is a collaborative effort between several organizations, including MS TCDC through its Africa Youth Leadership Program (YouLead Africa), the East African Community Secretariat, the Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete Foundation, the Julius Nyerere Leadership Centre (JNLC), and the Emerging Leaders Foundation.
The fellowship focuses on two main areas:
– Youth in Politics: Reimagining and embedding youth leadership within public sector governance.
– Youth in Business: Enhancing business opportunities for young people and fostering a business-friendly environment through supportive policies.
Program Benefits
