The main objective of the internship programme is to provide an opportunity for selected graduate and postgraduate students who are pursuing a course of studies in fields related to the ILO’s mandate and to the Centre’s activities, or have recently completed their graduate or postgraduate studies, as well as selected representatives of employers’ or workers’ organizations and labour ministries, to reach the following goals:
- Increase their understanding of the ILO’s objectives and be involved in the application of the ILO’s policies, standards and programmes
- Gain practical work experience directly related to their technical specialization in an international environment
